ABC's "20/20"  will exclusively air an interview of Diane from prison with ABC News senior national affairs correspondent Deborah Roberts. She is currently serving a lifetime in prison without the possibility of parole. 

During her 2013 interrogation, she mentioned she is not a perpetual killer but just stupid. She also confessed to poisoning her husband and two elder children with anti-freeze. 

What Happened To Diane Staudte Husband And Son? 

Back in 2012, Diane Stautde's husband Mark died at the age of 61. At the time, they ruled out his death as a natural cause. There was a small ring of blood around his mouth. 

With Mark's insurance payout, Diane alongside her four children moved to a different house. In September of the same year, their son Shaun died in a similar manner.

As he was diagnosed with  Autism and had a seizure, they ruled out his death to be caused by "prior medical issues."

But when Diane rushed her daughter Sarah to the emergency room, things took a different turn. Police got an anonymous tip claiming Diane was involved. 

Later on, when Springfield Det. Neal McAmis looked closely at the case they found similarities on the case. During interrogation, she admitted to killing her husband and son with an anti-freezer with the help of her daughter Rachel.

As she pleaded guilty in court, she was sentenced lifetime in prison without parole.

The page describes a series of killings and attempted killings within the Staudte Family of Springfield in the time span of 5-months of 2012. 

Daine and Mark Staudte were a married couple residing in a modest home in Springfield, Missouri. They had four children Shaun (age 26), Sarah (age 24), Rachel (age 22), and Briana (age 9).

The Staudte children had varying special needs. Shaun has autism spectrum while their younger daughter Briana, a fourth-grader at the time had learning disabilities. 

Meanwhile, Sarah, a university graduate had a high school loan debt due to unemployment.
